Past India Player of National Cricket Team Robin Uthappa he made a statement after the pretrial detention measure was chosen. The fighter was accused of defrauding the employees of the clothing company he managed, in connection with the contributions to the donation fund.
Robin Uthappa, director of Bengaluru-based Centaurus Lifestyle Brands Pvt Ltd, has been given until December 27 to pay a fee of Rs 24 lakh or face arrest. He was accused of deducting security funds from his employees’ salaries, but not depositing those funds into his employees’ accounts.

However, due to the massive pressure he is under, the ex-beater has now released an official statement.
Robin Uthappa announced his appointment as a director in 2018-19 following financial contributions in the form of loans to companies. However, the insider noted that he does not have an active role and is not even involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
The cricketer-commentator added that he does not have time to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the game due to his commitments with his cricketing duties. He explained:

In 2018-19, I was appointed as a director due to my financial contributions in the form of loans to these companies.

Robin Uthappa also alleged that the companies he invested in did not return the funds forcing him to initiate legal proceedings. He said that he had no role in these companies, adding that he resigned from the directorship a few years ago
“Actually, I do not have an executive role in any of the companies that I have ever financed. Unfortunately, these companies failed to repay the funds that I lent them, which led me to start legal proceedings. I resigned as a director several years ago.
“When the Provident Fund authorities issued notices demanding payment of dues, my legal team responded and emphasized that I had no role in these companies and submitted documents from the companies themselves confirming my non-involvement.”
Robin Uthappa said that although he had no role in the companies, the Provident Fund authorities took action against him. However, the commentator noted that his consultants will take necessary steps to resolve this issue. He also urged the media to present correct facts. He said:
“Nevertheless, the management of the Provident Fund continued the process and my legal advisers will take the necessary steps to resolve this issue in the coming days. I also request the media to present the full facts and verify the authenticity of the information. The information is shared.”

Robin Uthappa has now taken up the broadcasting role after retiring from cricket. He played 59 internationals for India and scored 1,183 runs with seven half-centuries.
