The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team squads for the white-ball series against the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team. The two teams will play each other in a three-match T20I and three-match ODI series.
BCCI has named a 15-man squad for both the series with Harmanpreet Kaur leading the team. The captain along with vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Uma Chetry, Titas Sadhu, Deepti Sharma, Saima Thakor, Renuka Singh Thakur, Minnu Mani and Priya Mishra will star in both the series.
Nandini Kashyap, Sajana Sajeevan, Raghvi Bist and Radha Yadav will be part of the T20I series and will not feature in the ODIs. Pratika Rawal, Tejal Hasabnis and Tanuja Kanwer have been selected for the 50-over series and will not play the three-match T20I series against the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team.
Yastika Bhatia, Shreyanka Patil and Priya Punia are out of both squads due to injuries. The BCCI released an official statement regarding the trio and noted, “Ms. Yastika Bhatia, Ms. Shreyanka Patil and Ms. Priya Punia are injured and unavailable for selection.”

India vs West Indies Schedule
The West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team’s tour of India will begin with a three-match T20I series. The first game will be played on Sunday (December 15), followed by the second and third games on Tuesday (December 17) and Thursday (December 19). All three matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
The ODI series will then be played from Sunday (December 22). The second match of the series between India and West Indies is scheduled to be played on Tuesday (December 24), followed by the final match of the series on Friday (December 27). All three matches will be played at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
India will enter the series after being thrashed in Australia
The Indian Women’s National Cricket Team will enter the series on the back of a shambolic defeat against the Australian Women’s National Cricket Team. They suffered a 3-0 defeat by the opposition and were heavily criticized for their poor performance.
They would hope to turn things around against the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team in the upcoming series. They would hope to win both the series and give their fans something to cheer about.
