Team India‘s second Test against Australia It got off to a tough start on Friday at the Adelaide Oval. India’s star who chose to bat first after winning the toss Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for a golden duck in the first ball, setting the mood for a tough day for the visitors.
Mitchell Starc bowls the first ball beautifully
Australian speed racer Mitchell Starc with instant impact, he delivered a full, in-swinging delivery of 140.4 kmph on the leg stumps. Jaiswal runs too long and misses the spin, clinging to his front leg. Ball-tracking technology confirmed that the delivery was on leg and heading towards the stumps.
Jaiswal, who famously sold out Starc in the first Test with “You’re bowling too slow”, decided not to review after consulting KL Rahul. Starc marked the breakthrough decisively and put Australia in control early on.

India’s key changes for the second Test
India made three notable changes to the playing XI for the second Test. Skipper Rohit Sharma turned to the side and moved to the middle row, with Shubman Gill put in the top row. Ravichandran Ashwin has replaced India’s experienced off-spinner, Washington Sundar, adding an experienced spin option to the bowling attack on a green-covered dry pitch.
“First we will fight. It looks like a good pitch, a little dry at the moment, with enough grass. Ashwin is back; I’m back. Shubman Gill is also back. I bat in the middle order” Rohit said during the toss.
