Insider Reveals Rocky Sasaki’s ‘Most Likely’ Pick

The Los Angeles Dodgers capped off a great season with their eighth World Series title in franchise history.

As the offseason rolls around, the Dodgers are gearing up for a title defense.

With a loaded free agent class, they’ve already made a splash by signing starter Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million contract.

It looks like the Dodgers aren’t done yet as there are many rumors swirling around the team.

An MLB insider recently revealed that they are the likely destination for another free agent starting pitcher.

“The industry belief is that Rocky Sasaki has already chosen where he wants to sign, with the Dodgers the ‘most likely’ choice, according to Buster Olney (of ESPN),” wrote B/R Walk -Off in X.

Sasaki is a 23-year-old starting pitcher who hails from Japan.

In 2024, Sasaki appeared in 18 games and went 10-5 with a 2.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.0 innings.

There have been some concerns with Sasaki regarding his injuries, but he remains one of the best free agents left on the market.

Olney reports that the Dodgers will be Sasaki’s selection, and he will join fellow Japanese players Shohei Otani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Dodgers appear to be focused on loading up their starting rotation with the signing of Snell and the possible signing of Sasaki.

In 2025, the Dodgers will try to win consecutive world titles for the first time in their history.
