Tim Bradley calls out both Tank Davis and Shakur Stevenson, “Make the fight happen!”

Tim Bradley lectured Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta Davis on social media, telling them to get in the ring next year to “resolve” which one is the better fighter. Commentator Bradley wants them to stop using pathetic excuses and meet already.

Bradley says both fighters need to “stop running”, but Tank is not the runner. This is Shakur. He was the problem because his fights involved non-commitment, and he didn’t display the crowd-pleasing style that is a criterion for being selected to meet the King of the Lightweight Division, Tank Davis. It’s not just Tank who wants nothing to do with Shakur. Vasily Lomachenko also showed no interest in fighting him for the same reason.

Tank said yesterday that these are the three fighters he wants in 2025 before he retires:

1. Ryan Garcia
2. Devin Haney
3. Vasily Lomachenko

You can’t go wrong with that list if you’re Tank, as all three of them will bring in more PPV buys than Shakur, who is only known to hardcore boxing fans. Casuals have no idea who the three-division world champion Stevenson is because his fights have created no buzz.

He also hasn’t fought the big names in any of the three weight classes in which he has competed. The best fighter Shakur has fought in his seven-year career was a smaller, older Oscar Valdez, who he had a huge advantage over when he fought them on April 30, 2022.

Unfortunately for Bradley, the highly touted star of the 135-lb division, Tank (30-0, 28 KOs), told the media in an interview yesterday that he will retire after 2025. He named the three fighters he wanted to face before leaving the game. Shakur’s name was NOT on the list, and I can’t blame Tank. His style of fighting doesn’t make the grade.

It’s probably too late for Shakur to change his style to encourage Gervonta, 30, to fight him because he’s already shown his stripes. Tank is put off by that approach to fighting, and he wants the three guys who will come to fight in 2025 before he hangs up his gloves.

What Shakur needs to do is focus on giving Edwin De Los Santos his rematch to clear up the controversy of their fight last year on November 16, which left a bad taste in the mouths of fans. After De Los Santo, Shakur has to fight these fighters:

– Keyshawn Davis
– Abdullah Mason
– Raymond Muratalla
– William Zepeda
– Teofimo Lopez
