“We’re 2-0 against you clowns!” – Kambosos taunts Lopez

George Kambosos Jr. lit up Teofimo Lopez, responding to him saying on social media that he made “reasonable offers” to him and Devin Haney, and both “refused.” Kambosos says Teofimo is fake and knows nothing about PPVs or selling tickets.

When asked about the “reasonable offers”, Teofimo said Kamboso and Haney were offered “$2.4 million guaranteed & 55/45 split on PPV.” Teo did not say if he would be the one to get the 55 portion, but that is likely the case. He holds the WBO light welterweight title, which would be his argument as to why he deserves the bigger cut.

Kambosos (21-3, 10 KOs) is still interested in fighting Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) and wants him to contact him. The Aussie Kambosos beat Teofimo exactly three years ago on November 27, 2021 with a 12-round split decision. Teofimo chose not to take the rematch and instead moved up to 140 and was quickly positioned by his promoters at Top Rank to fight the WBO against a faded Josh Taylor on June 10, 2023.

Former unified lightweight champion Kambosos signed a co-promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing on November 24. He is positioned to fight the winner of the December 7 showdown between IBF light welterweight champion Liam Paro and Richardson Hitchins.

Bring your Daddy too

George Kambosos Jr: “There’s your reasonable offer 🤣. You are a Fugazi (fake) as I said in 2021 and as I say now in 2024. What reasonable offer you know nothing about money, PPV’s or selling tickets HAHA you are fighting in wedding ballrooms these days you don’t know when you come or go. If you really want it, like I always said, you know where to find me. Bring your daddy too, we’re already 2 and 0 against you clowns. Your bosses (Top Rank) don’t respect you anyway, just like I didn’t respect you and mistreated you,” said Kambosos Jr. X.

Teofimo Lopez: “We sent reasonable offers to fight to both Team Haney and Team Kambosos. Both refused! If you don’t believe it, ask Top Rank and Bruce Trampler. You fight on that WITSEC! #Box. @Realdevinhaney @georgekambosos.

“$2.4 million guaranteed & 55/45 split on PPV shares.”

It doesn’t look like Teofimo is serious about wanting to fight Haney or Kambosos and just posted on social media to get attention. As Teofimo has looked recently, he won’t be hanging on to his WBO 140-lb division for much longer.

He hasn’t looked the same since moving up to 140 and has struggled in fights against Steve Claggett, Jamaine Ortiz, Pedro Campa and Sandor Martin. The only fight Teofimo looked good in was against Josh Taylor, but he’s been a shell of his former self since his 2021 war with Jose Ramirez.
