(Credit: Esther Lin/Fanmio) It is unclear whether the organizers of the event can get Golden Boy to agree to this. If not, the Ryan-Anpo exhibition might not happen. Ryan and Anpo met today at a press conference in Beverly Hills to begin promoting their eight-round exhibition bout on December 30th. “Golden Boy Promotions has exclusive rights to Ryan Garcia’s fights. As such, the organizers of this event have acknowledged and agreed in writing that our sign-off is necessary for this event to take place. Since no such sign-off has been given, there is no opportunity with Ryan Garcia as of today,” Golden Boy said X. Ryan counted on this exhibition to stay sharp for his ring return in 2025. He is under suspension, and will not be clear to fight until next April.
