Rachin Ravindra was bought by Chennai Super Kings for INR 4 crore in IPL Auction 2025


New Zealand star Rachin Ravindra has registered himself IPL 2025 Mega auction at a base price of INR 1.5 crores. The left-handed batsman represented Chennai Super Kings in the last edition of IPL.

The top-order batsman became a household name after his exploits in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He impressed the cricketing world with his batting on the Indian pitches during the marquee competition.

He finished the World Cup as the fourth highest run-scorer, scoring 578 runs with the help of 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries. Soon after that, he won his first IPL contract when Chennai Super Kings signed him in a mini auction.

In his debut IPL season, Rachin scored 222 runs in 10 games. He recently impressed in the three-match Test series against India. He was one of only two batsmen to score a century in the series.

The way he has played on the spinning tracks in India of late, it won’t be a surprise if he gets a lucrative IPL contract.

Chennai Super Kings have exercised their RTM option to re-sign Rachin Ravindra for INR 4 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Punjab Kings also went for the left-hander and raised the final bid to 4 crore, matching the Chennai-based outfit.
