Mohamed Salah is one of a number of stars Barca are considering moving in 2025 as the Catalan giants look to capitalize on the winger’s contract situation at Anfield.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season and so far there are no signs that the Premier League club will agree a deal with the Egyptian captain.

Discussions are currently underway over a new contract, but the two sides remain distant.

This will be a huge concern for Liverpool fans as Salah has been a huge part of Liverpool’s success since moving to Anfield from Roma as part of a Offer £34.3m in 2017.

The Egyptian superstar has won it all at Liverpool and established himself as a legend in 366 games for the Reds, scoring 221 goals and assisting a further 99, and the player is not ready “to turn his back” on Arne Slot’s team.

Salah hasn’t slowed down this season as the winger became the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to reach double figures for both goals and assists with his contributions against Aston Villa on Saturday.

This will only increase the attraction of clubs for the 32-year-old’s situation at Anfield, with Barcelona a European giant ready to pounce.

Barcelona are considering a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah

With Salah currently set to become a free agent in 2025, this is a situation that is very appealing to Barcelona given the current financial situation of the La Liga giants.

The president of the Catalan club wants to sign a superstar next summer and seconds Sports WorldNico Williams, Rafael Leão, Mohamed Salah and Leroy Sané are all on Barça’s target list.

Hansi Flick’s side have made a very impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign as they currently sit top of the league and a large part of that has come down to top three form.

It makes no sense for Barcelona to disrupt this by signing one of these names and it would be more profitable to spend the money on strengthening other key areas.
