Novak Djokovic is already setting his sights on chasing a record 25th major title in 2025. The Grand Slam king, who was spotted attending a Champions League soccer match between Crvena Zvezda and FC Barcelona earlier in this week, took time to speak briefly with reporters to let them know he is preparing for 2025.
“Tennis is still my focus,” he said, according to Serbian journalist Sasa Osmo for Tennis Majors. “I’m going full pressure in the offseason, we go for another ride. I just needed to recharge and refresh a bit after an exhausting year.”
The next day, Djokovic picked up some basketball and got this incredible reaction from the fans in hand. It is hard to imagine that another sportsman is loved as much in his country as Djokovic in Serbia.

Djokovic recently retired from the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals, ending his season with a 37-9 record that featured an outstanding gold medal-winning performance at the Paris games as well as a trip to the Wimbledon final just weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
The Serbian currently holds 99 ATP titles and 1,124 ATP victories.
He will turn 38 on May 22 of this year, which explains why it’s important for the 24-time major champion to take some time to recharge his batteries and let his body break down.
He says he plans to hit the ground running at the start of the season, playing one event before heading to Melbourne to compete for his 11th Australian Open title.
“I will play in the first week of the season, I’m not sure where yet. Then, of course, the Australian Open.”
