New ODI and T20I captain for Australia
The wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis, who has stood out in recent matches, will lead the Australian team for the first time at the international level. He will be in charge during the final ODI against Pakistan at the Perth Stadium and throughout the T20I series.

“Josh is an integral member of the ODI and T20I teams and a highly respected player on and off the field” selection chairman George Bailey said in an official statement on Wednesday.
“He has previously managed Australia A and will bring strong tactical nous and a positive approach to the role.
“Josh will have great support from great players like Matt Short and Adam Zampa, including Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.”
