Chelsea’s miserable run of form at Old Trafford continued on Sunday with a disappointing 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The Blues had their chances but, apart from Moises Caicedo’s sublime equaliser, they can hardly be said to have done enough to win a game that has seen very little quality from either side.

Moises Caicedo – 9/10
Let’s forget the goal – the sensational and technically mesmerizing volley – for a second because Caicedo’s all-round performance was worthy of praise even before it crashed into the back of Andre Onana’s net.
A relentless defensive performance from Caicedo, who seethed in his typical indefatigable style to put out fires and recycle possession for a while. Chelsea side that really should have done more with such a dominant base under them.
Honorable Mention
Cole Palmer – 7/10
Nobody in attack was at their best here, but if anyone in Chelsea’s forward line was going to score, it would have been the cool man himself, Cole Palmer.
Palmer created three chances for his team-mates and fired in three shots of his own in a performance that featured plenty of clean hitting and movement, but perhaps lacked the I don’t know what I needed to grab this game by the horns.
Bad flight – 4/10
Stuck at half-time after a bitterly disappointing 45 minutes, no prizes for identifying Malo Gusto as Chelsea’s biggest problem in this game.
Playing in the right-back role that sees him spend more time in the attacking midfield, Gusto simply never looked comfortable. His composure on the ball was lacking, as was his end product, leaving fans wondering why Reece James was kept in a reserved left-back role.

Robert Sánchez – 5/10
Not for the first time this season, Chelsea have found themselves looking to their goalkeeper for answers as to how they have not fared better. Robert Sanchez conceded an early penalty in the 2-1 defeat at Liverpool and sent Bruno Fernandes to the spot here with an unnecessary trip on Rasmus Hojlund.
In the build-up to this match, Enzo Maresca wondered about his continued faith in Sánchez. Expect eyebrows to be raised half an inch higher after this display.
