South Africa announced a strong 16-man squad for the upcoming four-match T20I series. Indiastarts from November 8.
David Warner, Heinrich Klaasen return; Rabada rested
Aiden Markram will lead the Proteas with a formidable batting line-up that includes the return of power-forwards. David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen. The bowling attack will be led by experienced campaigners like Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen, while new talents like Mihlali Mpongwana and Andile Simelane will add depth to the squad.
Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been rested for the series, while Lungi Ngidi will join the squad for the third and fourth T20Is.

South Africa’s white-ball coach Rob Walter expressed his excitement about the series and the opportunity to build towards the 2026 T20 World Cup.
“This is both an exciting and important series for us as we continue to build towards the T20 World Cup in 2026.” Walter said in an official statement.
“The squad has a nice mix of youth and experience and I look forward to seeing our quality performances against a very attacking Indian T20 outfit.”
