The Women’s Big Head League (WBBL) 2024 Sydney Sixers had a thrilling run at the Adelaide Oval where they registered a thrilling three-wicket win over Melbourne Renegades, successfully chasing down a challenging target of 179.

Courtney Webb and Georgia Wareham take Melbourne Renegades to 178/8

The Sixers won the toss and chose to bowl first, testing the Renegades’ batting line-up. Renegades started with steady contributions from the top order where Courtney Webb scored 39 off 43 including 6 fours. However, it was Georgia Wareham who took center stage with an explosive knock of 61 off 31 balls. Wareham’s batting featured 4 fours and 4 powerful sixes, injecting much-needed momentum into the Renegades’ total, pushing them to a competitive 178/8 in 20 overs.

Despite Wareham’s heroics, the Sixers’ bowlers kept their cool.
