The decisive performance of the captain Shan Massoud described Pakistan’s stronghold in the match. After a poor defeat in the first Test played on a run-scoring pitch, the team opted for a more tactical approach, bolstering their spin bowling resources. England found the spinner trio quite difficult to deal with—Noman Ali, Sajid Khanand Zahid Mahmoud-Made history by putting on a remarkable show, ensuring that no pace bowler was required throughout the Test, a first for Pakistan cricket.
The spin duo are turning England upside down
Noman and Sajid displayed their bowling prowess, claiming all ten wickets in England’s innings which ended with a total of 112 runs. Noman’s bowling figures of 6-42 and Sajid’s contribution of 4-69 effectively dismantled the English batting order after continuing with a shaky 24-3 on day three. The innings collapsed quickly, lasting just 37.2 overs.

Shan Masood hits successive boundaries
To achieve a modest 36-run target, Masood ensured the match was over immediately. He showed his aggressiveness by hitting four consecutive boundaries and later sealed the chase with a six off the first delivery of Shoaib Bashir’s next over. Masud’s short but impressive innings of 23 runs from just 6 balls left an indelible mark, reflecting his attacking style and skill.
During the third of the chase against Leach, Mesud showed his attack mentality. He elegantly hit a full delivery over extra cover for the first boundary, followed by a smart reverse sweep that sped to the ropes at backward point. Continuing his onslaught, Masood bowled another delivery over long-on for four and finished with another reverse sweep that added the final runs.
