The Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing for Friday’s World Series opener against the New York Yankees.
After beating the New York Mets in six games in the National League, the Dodgers will have home field advantage against the Yankees in the World Series.
The Dodgers have suffered numerous key injuries this season, including starters Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw.
There are rumors that Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani could make his season debut during this World Series.
According to FOX Sports. On MLB’s “X,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says there’s “no way” when talking about Ohtani pitching in the World Series.

Ohtani has not played at all in the 2024 season due to right elbow surgery, from which he is still recovering.
The talk of Major League Baseball when Ohtani entered the league was his ability to be a dominant batter and pitcher, the first to do so since Babe Ruth.
Not playing in the regular season may have boosted Ohtani’s offensive numbers as he posted the first 50-home run and 50-stolen-base season in MLB history.
Even with all the injuries, Roberts seems to say there’s no chance Ohtani will be out until at least next season.
Ohtani will likely still be a key player in this series as the Dodgers’ leadoff hitter.
He finished the NLCS with eight hits in 22 at-bats with two home runs, six runs, nine runs scored and nine walks while striking out seven times.
