West Ham will be kicking themselves for not signing Jhon Duran, with Arsenal and Barcelona now in the mix to prize him away from Aston Villa.
The Colombian has been in sensational form for the Villans and it seems so score important goals every time he is given the opportunity, however, his poor discipline has often gotten him into trouble.
This could explain why Unai Emery prefers Ollie Watkins as his preferred striker, with Duran needing to show consistency both on and off the pitch before the Spaniard breaks him into his starting XI on a regular basis.

So far, in just 404 minutes of action in all competitions – the equivalent of just over four full games – the forward has scored on seven occasions (transfer market).

As he has continued to prove his importance to the team, Duran certainly has a decent enough claim to give him a crack right now, rather than having to keep waiting for his moment.
At only 20 years of age, it is unlikely that he wants to be someone known as a “super sub” at this early stage of his career.
With so much apparent interest in taking him elsewhere, Aston Villa are at a very real risk of seeing him leave the club, although he is believed to have recently signed a new contract with the Midlands outfit.
