The most successful player in the history of the tournament will be absent from this year’s Paris Masters.

Seven times champion Novak Djokovic announced today that he will skip the event.

“I have many great memories, winning seven titles there and I hope to be back with you next year,” he wrote.
Djokovic did not give a specific reason for his withdrawal.
It is not yet clear whether Djokovic plans to play in the ATP Finals, where he is also a seven-time champion. He is currently sixth in the Touring standings heading into Turin, but could be overtaken by several players next week in Paris.
Djokovic has said he plans to attend the Davis Cup in November as a spectator and has an exhibition scheduled with Juan Martin del Potro in Buenos Aires on December 1.
