Gervonta Davis has shown his disdain for his working-class fans by slamming a CV critic on social media, labeling him a “loser” for having a boss telling him what to do.
By choosing to deflect the criticism rather than address it, Tank avoids the bitter truth. He wasted the best years of his career struggling against low-level opposition and his earning potential. Tank does not want to be seen as a protected fighter, but it is there to be seen by all. He can’t hide. The resume critic points out the truth, and Tank is unable to face it head on to admit that he has been protected by his management from day one.
The person on social media simply told the undefeated WBA lightweight champion Tank that he is turning 30 soon and he has the CV of a kid. Rather than agree with the person and strive to do better in the future, Tank (30-0, 28 KOs) insulted him.
Tank’s choice to belittle his resume critic shows that he is insecure about his career and realizes that he fought a weak position to build his 30-0 resume. Ideally, Tank should have agreed with the person and explained why he didn’t face better opposition during his 11-year career.
What Tank shows with his criticism is lack of maturity to handle the criticism. Unable to accept reality, Tank lashes out in a childish way, showing that he is emotionally unable to process what the person said and react without the need to attack.
Gervonta Davis: “Now, let’s talk about how you finish school and all that for you to work for someone, and now they determine when you wake up and go to bed. LOL! I would choose my life over your life any day. Loser.”
Gervonta Tank Davis @Gervontaa turns 30 in about two weeks and the mf has the CV of a child.
