Twine, where have you been? The Pauldo twins are breaking new ground as they become everyone’s favorite duo on and off the court. New Jersey’s own Mia and Mya Pauldo have made a name for themselves across the country, earning two spots in the top 50 rankings for the Class of 2025 and both committing to continue the legacy of the Lady Vols starting next year.

As one of the toughest backcourts in the country, Mia’s playmaking skills and Maia’s command of the floor show their grit and determination. Together, they etched their names into the history of the New Jersey area.

Playing together is like “having two assassins with you because we’re both tough,” says Mia.

“He’s my best friend,” Mya says. “We do everything together, we tell each other everything. Our bond is so close, and that means court.”

Winning has always been a top priority for the twins, whether it’s state championships, player of the year awards or any game they’re involved in. While the All-Star Games may separate them, their focus remains clear. on the back of their jerseys.

“We want to see each other shine,” says Mia. “That’s my way of thinking. I’m rooting for him even if he’s on the other team.”

SLAM Summer Classic Vol. On the 6th, the twins were asked to send messages to each other. Almost in unison, they encouraged each other to “go into business and get a copy.”

The SLAM Summer Classic was a major goal for their senior year, with hopes of also being invited to the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic next spring.

Their sisterhood will last through next Tennessee season, and hopefully the WNBA beyond. What really stood out with the twins in our time was their coolness and warmth towards each other, but also their commitment to giving back to their family and community.

“We have to go on,” Mia says. “Keep hustling because we’re doing something right. We have to keep going because people are following us and looking up to us.”

“You always have to hold yourself to a higher standard and be respectful knowing that everyone is watching,” Mya adds.

Looking at the sisters, how will they continue to build their legacy? Young Mia and Mia originally set their sights on playing overseas, but now that the WNBA is closer than ever, their goal has become history as the first twins to play in the League at the same time.

“We want to grow the game in this country,” Mya says. “We want more teams, better pay and more attention for women’s basketball.”

It wouldn’t be a shock to be the first. “It is our life. we’re trendy,” says Mia. “We want to be the first to do that in our era.”

When asked what message they will be giving to their future selves when they look back at SLAM 252, Mia replies: “Always be inspired by something.” Mya adds: “Take a moment every day to learn something new.”

What more could you ask for than having your twin by your side to inspire and learn from every day?
