The Los Angeles Dodgers look to clinch the World Series on Sunday when they face the New York Mets in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series.

After holding a three-game series lead, the Mets won Game 5 on Friday to extend the streak.

The Dodgers’ high-powered lineup will be missing the key game, as they announced a lineup change before the start of game six.

According to MLB’s “X,” Freddie Freeman will not start for the Dodgers in game six, with Max Muncie taking his place at first base.

Freeman has been dealing with a sore right ankle since September, and it has forced him to miss several postseason games so far.

The ankle appears to be affecting Freeman at the plate, as in the NLCS he had three hits with one walk and four strikeouts in 18 at-bats.

In Friday’s fifth game, Freeman was hitless with five strikeouts while striking out twice.

Freeman missed game four of the NLCS and the Dodgers won the game ten to two without him.

The Dodgers will look to clinch the National League pennant on Sunday and avoid a Game 7 on Monday at Dodger Stadium.

It will be the Dodgers’ first World Series appearance since winning the title in the Covid-shortened 2020 season.

Michael Kopech will take the mound in Game Six in what looks to be a bullpen game for the Dodgers.
