Let me be clear about one thing before I get into this: the whole golf is good golf.
You can put me anywhere in the world as long as I have a club in hand.
And even the courses on this list are still, for the most part, good golf courses. You can love them. You might think they are incredible appearances. Maybe they are on your 10 best list for the best courses you have More played.
Personally, I was not so impressed.
To be overestimated you need to be honored by the course reviewers and ask the average player, so these courses will have their defenders.
But in my opinion, these are seven courses that I went with great expectations just to escape with a sense of emptiness.
Because I’m a good guy and I’m still attending after Panters won the stanley back-back cups, I’m offering a better course (or at least cheaper and/or more enjoyable) to replace it overvalued on your next trip.
7 Course Pete Dye in French Lick

Starting here with the two fingers down for an extremely extreme course to be nice. The paint course in the French Lick It is usually delivered as one of the best public courses in the country, but it feels much more delightful than the other colors I have played. There are some savage The slopes there and it’s hard to guess. Play as much ahead.
Is it a beautiful environment and a beautiful course? Yes. Are the color courses designed to be frustrating? Also yes.
Do I like it? No.
If you have time I would send for it Sultan’s running In Jasper, tiss., Where you will find a much cheaper and more reasonable appearance that will not beat your brain with a 9-Herkuri.
6. Port city

As I like to watch the best playing city As they navigate the corridors with a file-is one of my favorite PGA Tour’s events-I don’t want to go back.
The benefits can be challenged in a unique way here, but this is a real nightmare fuel for average revenge. Almost every hole is tight and you are in a world sore if you make a mistake. Moreover, there are simply not many memorable holes. Everything kind mixes together in a giant aid of with.
Is it a bad Golf course? No, of course no. It is just not very exciting or imaginary.
More than anything, it is difficult to stomach the price for such a versatile and unstable golf. Payment more than $ 500 for such a country is folly.
Hilton Head is not my favorite golf area in the country but try Atlantic as a difference from the port city.
5. Torrey south pines

The other two are courses in California who are loved in the country for good reasons: they offer reasonable prices for residents.
Torrey pines It is a beautiful place and a beautiful walk along the rock. The southern course has seen some historic moments in the game. It was a completely great course in great condition and I would be there as much as I could if I were local.
But this is at least a few levels under the highest California courses in terms of interesting design: monotonous, hard and completely personality. I’m not sure what is attraction. The northern course is better for my opinion.
If you are looking for another appearance in the San Diego area I am partial Encynitas.
4. TPC Harding Park

As I fully support the concept of Park harding By offering affordable Golf residents at the real premiere in San Francisco, non-residents can go through this.
If you are overseas, you are paying $ 250 for what is essentially a beautiful muni. Almost every hole goes together. It is not a memorable golf course.
You are better to drive on the coast to play Hobbya course that grows with character. Now this is a round that you will never forget.
3. The PGA National Champion Course

I am grateful that National PGA He injected some lives into what was previously known as Honda Classic (now a collizant Palm beaches). It was my hometown event growing up and it is sad to see the tournament left for Kurbet in recent years.
Unfortunately, the course is simply filled with terrible golf holes that look specially designed for real estate. Everyone remembers the bear trap, but you probably do not remember dozens of other holes in the course that are equivalent to the flight states. There is zero character there.
And this is an expensive place. If you are a guest coming in the season, it can cost you $ 475.
I think it’s seductive to play on a golf trip to Florida because it’s the Quintesential Course Palm Beach, but you can go to a small part of other places that are cooler. Can i suggest Palm Beach par 3? An amazing time for roads less than half the cost.
2. Blue Monster in Doral

Similar to the National PGA, Curtain It is much more hype than substance.
In the middle of summer – in South Florida, no less – costs $ 395 to play the blue monster. This is at the same time with a place like Spyglass Hill. In the season, we are talking up of $ 700.
Of course, it is in great condition. Of course, it looks beautiful.
Is it worth it too? Not by distance nearby.
I just find out the course leaves an empty feeling. The blue monster is a water execution test across the country. It is long, difficult and practically no creative holes.
You are not playing here for history or prestige. Nor does it organize a tournament anymore.
You can get similar vibes in Florida Golf without emptying your wallet into a bold urban plan like this. try Jacaranda Golf Club In Fort Lauderdale, which has two solid courses with a portion of the price.
1. TPC Scottsdale

Some people may be surprised to see TPC Scottsdale in the list. I get it. WM Phoenix Open is a beloved PGA Tour event, so you don’t hear a lot of negativity about this place.
For me, it was a massive movement.
Let me start with some positives: the practice area is excellent and the air conditioning is excellent. I also had a really good caddy here, though I have heard mixed ratings from others who played. And a couple of closing holes are excellent, especially no. 15 and 17.
However, I think this course is much more suitable for professional golf. The nine front is boring with pain and much harder than you would assume. Nine rear has a life, but this is a difficult place for a middle -old Handicap hacker to succeed.
When extracting ancestors, many of these holes are ORDER Less impressive. The 16th hole is just a normal par-3 you can find anywhere.
What really puts it on top for me is that you can find much better (and visibly cheaper) golf in the valley. You are being extinguished probably $ 400 or $ 500 per season. It’s not like this is your only option. And it’s not like TPC Scottsdale is so important historically that you should play it or the whole journey is destroyed.
If you are planning Golf in Arizona, go to play We-ko. This puts the slap.
So these are my seven most overestimated courses. I agree or do I disagree? Have other suggestions?
