Often warned as the “fifth major” of golf, I prefer these days, sans liv players on the field, to file Player championship as the greatest snack of golf. This Thursday marks exactly four weeks until the opening of the masters, making the players, the PGA Tour crown jewel, the best indisputable predecessor of the world.
Having developed in the PGA Tour Tour House in Ponta Vedra Beach, Fla., The player championship has been held at TPC Sawgrass, one of the most famous and popular golf countries since 1974. Apparently, “His Lisa Lisa”, the architect of the fame’s golf, has created the best players. Indeed, half of the holes set for a favorite draw and the other half, for a pallor. No two holes operate in the same direction and 17 of the 18 holes contain a water risk. Typeny kind of player has earned money here and from every place in the dispute table, from Tiger Woods, Matt Kuchar and Craig Perks of Fred Fun, Scottie Scheffler and Webb Simpson. The winner is especially difficult to predict because the golf course does not favor a set of visible skills, but rather asks players to do almost everything well in four days.
Some yards have recently been added to the property and the 2025 publication will extend to about 7.350 yards. The course plays in a par 72, contains relatively narrow roads, thick -size bermudagras greens and smaller size. Like so many color models, the golf course is very positioned, asking players to find the best points that avoid trouble and allow the scoring options. Missing your sign, and you may be staring at bogey or worse. Let us not forget the closing extent. The 16-18 holes are some of the best in the game, with 17 which are probably the most famous principle in the world, the island of Green.
2025 Championship Championships: Scottie Scheffler favored for three peat at TPC Sawgrass

All this by saying, of course there are some sets of skills to focus on collecting someone’s handicap. It is interesting to note, however, that the course history does not seem to mean much. If you look at the former winners of this event, most of them have lost numerous cuts. Again talks about the Dye model. Almost to restart everyone here is quite casual.
As we have written over the past two weeks, the swinging in Florida is synonymous with the ball hit and I have looked at it once with the shocks won: outside tee, fairways won and SG: access. I have also looked at Bogey’s avoidance, rubbing, SG: Bermudagrass), and marking in par 5S, as well as in par 4s measuring 450-500 yards.
While it is one of the most difficult tours to predict, interconnected courses provide some strong data. Players who perform well on Pete Dye models seem to do this over and over. Highlands of the TPC River (Traveler championship) and city (RBC Heritage) show a great success of the intersection with TPC sawgrass. A Donald Ross design, Sedgefield country club It’s another, the Wynham championship house. Finally, I looked at Copper course in Innisbrook – Where will we be next week for the Valsspar championship, Sea -island (RSM Classic), East lake (Tour championship), and chameleonFormer House of the World Technology Championship in Mayakoba.
I have played each of the following choices for a full win and a Top-20th finish.
Collin Morikawa (14-1)
I thought maybe with the fierce loss of last week in Bay Hill, there would be any sense of anti-morikawa there, but it does not seem to be the case as it seems to be a very popular choice to get back to the mix here in Ponta Vedra Beach. I have seen prices as low as less than 10-1 in Morikawa this week. I’m not betting on Scheffler in three peat, and I don’t want Rory. I thought about returning to Justin Thomas, as he was in place for two days last week and then was really destroyed over the weekend. He’s near, but I’m not ready to go back to him yet. Of those who are at the top of the board – or anywhere for that matter – Morikawa has a tone of meaning.
If there is anything on which we can rely on the player handicap, maybe it’s the current form and no one has it much better than Morikawa, with two competitors already this season. He also ended up the East Lake competitor last year at the Tour Championship, ended up 13th place here, there are two Top-10 conclusions in Harbor Town, and there are Top-15 in Mayakoba and TPC River Highlands. During the last 36 rounds, it ranks 10th in this field for SG: Ball Staring, is fifth for both avoidance and obtained roads obtained, and ranks 14th in scrambling.
Sepp Magpie (42-1)
Don’t look now but Straka is glued to the world’s 13th best player according to OWGR. He is really appearing as someone in that conversation. Straka already has a win this season in a Pete Dye design: the stadium course at the American Express. It comes this week from the conclusions of the 11th and fifth place to start the swing in Florida. He has been the 16th and ninth here in Sawgrass earlier, there are two Top-5 conclusions in Harbour Town, a 15 in Wynham, and the 10th ball in both River Highlands and East Lake. During the last 36 rounds, Straka ranks fourth in this field for SG: access and is fourth in both par 5S and par 4s measuring 450-500 yards. It ranks second in the tournaments in the greens in the regulation, the 11th in the accuracy of the steering and is the 50th for SG: setting.

Aaron Rai (50-1)
Three things are thrown off the site for me when you value Aaron Rai. The ball striker, laser -like accuracy and a win last season in the WynDham Championship. Only this is a very good starting device for the possible success among the players, where he ended up in 35th and 19th place in his two efforts. RAI is sixth in the tournament in the accuracy of the direction and 61 in SG: setting. During the last 36 rounds, it ranks 23rd in this field for both SG: Access and SG: Ball Staring.
Daniel Berger (55-1)
Sometimes we forget about a guy who was a Top-15 player in the world just a few years ago before the injury kept him out of the tournament for nearly two seasons. Participating in the state of Florida, Berger has a tendency for the Bermudagrass greens and has had a ton of success in the state of the Sun. He has ended up ninth here twice and also the fourth twice and a Classic Cogizant Cogizant. He has been the third in Harbour Town, has two Top-5 conclusions at TPC River Highlands, and was only a competitor last November in the Sea Island. That world-class form of a few years ago is finally starting once again after it has two Top-25 conclusions this season, a Top-15 and a competitor last month in Phoenix. Berger ranks second in this field for SG: off the tee and in the yard 450-500 par 4s during the last 36 rounds. He is the eighth in this field for the avoidance of Bogey, the seventh for the obtained roads, and is the 18th for SG: Ball Staring.
JT Post (100-1)
The theme continues here with the ball -based ball -based attackers and in the case of Poston, is another guy who has extraordinary history in the interconnected courses to go along with a great short game. Poston ended up twice in 22nd here in Sawgrass. He has been the seventh and winner in Wyndham. Four times, Post-10 has ended in Top-10 in Harbour Town, he has ended the fifth in the Sea Island, and a traveler championship race. During the last 36 rounds, it ranks 25th in this field for SG: Ball Staring and 30 for SG: off the tee. He is 35th for SG: Access and ranks 15th for SG: par 5s. The current form is also strong, with one 12th in the American Express and a 16 in Phoenix.
JJ SPAUN (110-1)
We’ve talked about the coincidence of the player championship, so I think we need to have some long time on the card. For every Sergio Garcia, Rory Mcilroy and Davis Love III, there is a Stephen Ames, Tim Clark and Jerry Kelly – everyone has had tremendous success in this country. We were in Spaun two weeks ago when he finished the race in Cogizant Classic. He is currently spending the best year of his career with that conclusion two weeks ago, a third in Sony Open in January and a 15th country country at Farmers Insurance Open in Torrey Pines. He is a ball striker, ranking 11th in this field for SG: Ball Strking during the last 36 rounds and second for SG: Access. He is the 22nd in the tournament in the greens in regulations and the seventh in the field for Bogey avoiding.
Joel Dahmen (150-1)
Dahmen rounds up our three choices for three-digit or long live bombs, if you want, and he is also playing some of the best golf of his career with the two ends of Top-10 in the sixth starts of this season. He is another choice of ours that fits precision -based mold, hit by the ball. During the last 36 rounds, Dahmen ranks 16th in this field for SG: Ball Staring, 20 for SG: Access, and is the 17th for acquired fairways. He ended up in 11th and 12th place here with players in the past. He has been the 12th and 16th in Harbour Town and has Top-5 conclusions in Mayakoba and Sea Island.
