If you feel a little sleepy after the last big season championship, I hope you are over it because the excitement is starting here for the next two months in the Golf world.
The WynDham championship, held at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC, marks the final tour of the regular PGA Tour season. At the end of the tournament, the main 70s players in the FedEx Cup rankings will progress to the FedExcup’s Play offs, starting next week at the Southwind TPC in Memfis, Tenn. Those players who find themselves in the top 100 places in the ranking after FedEx Fall keep their active status in the district for season 2026. Players who find themselves ranked in the top 50 at the end of the Tour championship for the 2026 signature events.
Oh, and there it is that little friendly golf gather in late September, they call Ryder Cup that there are still many open points left in the line.
Yes, there are many things that happen in connection and it starts this week at Sedgefield Country Club which is a relatively short Par-70 Donald Ross design, stretching only better than 7,100 yards. The narrow roads, lined with trees, are approached by the greens, highly unlocked greens that represent traditional ross flow zones, making a key element of a key element this week. Direction accuracy is more important than the length of the whole game and the iron from 100-175 yard is a large part of the winning formula. The ball attackers and putrers tend to bloom here and so do players who play well in the PAR-4S who measure 400-450 yards, of which eight from 12 in the course fall.

Michael Bamberger
The course story and the success of the intersection with other sedgefield golf courses is a very strong component for Handicap this week. Get webb Simpson, who has won here, at TPC Sawgrass and in Harbor Town, RBC Heritage House. Matt Kuchar, Kevin Kisner, like Woo Kim, Billy Horschel – is a long list of players who have done well in all COMS courses this week. I also watched TPC River Highlands, TPC Deere Run (John Deere Classic), Sea Island (RSM Classic) and another Donald Ross Design, East Lake Golf Club, where we will be within weeks for the Tour championship.
Robert Macintyre (35-1)
It feels like Bobby Mac is a little under the radar this week. Matt Fitzpatrick is the tour of the tournament and has played very well, but we can get the Scottish with nearly twice the price. Both players are well within 70 best in the standings, but Fitzpatrick has some work to do if he plans to play on the European side for the next Ryder Cup. Macintyre has not lost a cut since the masters. He was the sixth in Charles Schwab, a US Open racing and seventh in his last start in the open championship. He also ended ninth earlier this season at the player championship and received 17 last month in the travelers. He has everything I want here: accuracy outside of tee, short game, access to access and he makes many birds.
Lucas Glover (39-1)
Much a horse for this course, winning here two years ago and completing the top 10 or better in all our interconnected courses, including a win at John Deere Classic in 2021. Glover played Golf Golf this season, finishing the third in players and most recently nine in the travelers, the fifth in John Deere, and the 23rd championship. During the last 24 rounds, it ranks in the Top 16 in this field for the proximity of holes between 100-175 yards and is no. 1 by 125-150. Get that warm puter, Lucas.
Harry Hall (40-1)
There is no need to beg for a hot vase with Harry Hall, which ranks fourth in this field for SG: Bermudagrass during the last 24 rounds and is no. 1 in birds or better earned. Like Glover, Hall is also one of the best in the field for the proximity of holes from 100-175 yards. He has not lost a cut in nearly five months and finally ended ninth in the travelers.
Akshay Bhatia (40-1)
Here is another player who is great in approach, is a great place and is correct outside. He was linked for the 54th-year lead last week in Minnesota before it was discovered with a round of 75 on Sunday. I look forward to a bounce here for a boy, like Glover, who ended the third earlier this season at TPC Sawgrass.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (55-1)
Being South Africa, he is not part of the Ryder Cup conversation but he is trying to do after the season, currently ranked 74th in FedEx Cup, and he is playing very well. Bezuidenhout ended 16 Top three times in his last eight starts and was 20 last week at 3m Open. It is correct by Tee, the 12th in this field in the 400-450 par-4s yard during the last 24 rounds and ranks second for SG: Bermudagrass. He has never lost a cut in four trials here in the Wyndham and is five-to-pencil in cutting on RBC Heritage. He ended up twice in 13th in the player championship and has been a competitor to John Deere Classic.
Andrew Novak (66-1)
We mentioned a mixture of ball strikers and putters and while Novak has been absolutely of the ball offensive type for several seasons now, Putter has begun to light as well. He went from the 100th rankings in the tournament in 2024 in 36 this season for SG: setting. Novak grew up in Raleigh, NC – about 90 minutes from Greensboro – and went to Wofford College, about three hours from Sedgefield Country Club, so he is well known with the Golf Course and suburbs. At the beginning of this season, Novak lost in a play off on RBC Heritage.
Chris Kirk (95-1)
We are immediately jumping on the Chris Kirk train this week after being missing closely last month at the Classic Rocket when he lost in a play off. Kirk has won at the Sea Island, was the fourth in East Lake and has many Top-10 conclusions in Harbor Town and three Top-15 conclusions at TPC Sawgrass. It is correct by tee, great in access and one of the best game from 100-150 yards. Kirk currently sits on 73rd in the ranking of FedEx Cup. He has finished twice in 15th and once a racing in his last five starts.
