After three weeks of right calls very close, it was certainly beautiful to bring home a winner In New Orleans with Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak, both players winning their first PGA Tour victory. Congratulations to all those who were thrown on board. With only two more tunks before the second major season championship, it has returned to the Lone Star State this week.
The grateful dead once sang that Houston was very close to New Orleans, so we are in the contrary McKinney, Texas – just over 30 miles north of Dallas. For the fifth right season, CJ Cup Byron Nelson is being held in TPC Craig RanchBut the golf course has undergone some noticeable changes. What was the streets of the Zoysia-Grass are now hardened grass. What had been extremely extensive ways are narrowed and are now bordered by better than three inches. The golf course is a very large property, a Par-71 Tom Weiskoph design, which has been extended to about 7,600 yards. However, a bird bird is expected. Proposal of winning the winning result here on the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas is under/over 261.5, which means 22.5 under the money.
There has been immature weather in the area, wind and storm scattered at the beginning of the week. The forecast is calling for the most likely storm on Friday, but otherwise temperatures appear to be in high years with moderate winds around 10-15 MPH.
I looked at the shocks won: outside of tee this week. Being tall and/or very efficient from tee and hitting the greens in the regulation will create a number of bird opportunities. After that, most of this is likely to roll in which the player is holding a hot vase. I looked at the shocks: approaching, proximity of holes from 175 to 200+ yards, 450-500 par 4’s yard, bird or better won, and the shocks: Bentgrass.
2025 CJ CUP Byron Nelson Chances: Scottie Scheffler Massive Favorite in Texas
I believe the related courses this week carry weight. Relatively generous alleys with approximate synchronous with slightly average length with medium length TPC Summerlin (Shriners open children), Detroit Golf Club (Rocket Mortgage Classic), and Cardonal In the diamonds where they have played the World Technology Championship in the last two seasons. I have also used Black Desert Resort Course In Utah, which debuted in the tournament last fall. It too has wide and very slightly rough roads – and is also a design of Weisiscoph.
We have returned to the traditional formula this week to play our full winners choices, also for a Top-20th conclusion.
Jake KNApp (55-1)
KNAPP came out to a great start here in 2024, opening up with two straight rounds of 64, and it seemed as if he would continue to win. He came out of Gazi, however, on Sunday, shooting only 1 and falling in eighth place. He was in the last pair of New Orleans last week and made much of the heavy rise between him and the game partner, Frankie Capan. During the last 24 rounds, the KNAPP ranks 28th in this field for SG: off tee and is 11th in birds or better earned. I like the way this golf course should be paired with its skill group.
Taylor Moore (66-1)
We have not used TPC Scottsdale as a course related this week but is a design of Weisiscopf and Moore has been ninth and 14th there in the past. We used Detroit Golf Club and Moore have three top-10 endings there. Similar to KNAPP, Moore shines with the driver and makes many birds. He is the 12th in this field for SG: off the tee and sixth in birds or better acquired during the last 24 rounds. Also similar to KNAPP, I believe Moore is one of the best players in this irrigated field after crossing schefflers and spieths. Getting a price of 50 or better than 60-1, I think it’s a very good purchase.
Rico Hoey (80-1)
Here is a player who is calmly playing a very good golf. Hoey ended Top-15 in two of his last four beginnings. It ranks no. 1 In this field for SG: off the tee, sixth for SG: Access, 20 per SG: Bentgrass), and ninth for the proximity of holes from 175-200 yards during the last 24 rains. Last season, Hoey ended the sixth in Detroit, the third in TPC Summerlin, and 21 in the Black Desert Championship.

Joel Dahmen (100-1)
It can simply be the right time to return to Dahmen after its brutal loss at Corales Puntacana two weeks ago. He made three ugly boges to finish it Sunday and ended up finishing the race from a shot. I believe it can still have a value in the number here out of this disappointment, but the fact is that Dahmen has played very well this season and may be very mature to fight once again. He is one of the best in the field this week, almost in every statistic we have considered, during the last 24 rounds.
Lee Hodges (100-1)
Hodges lost almost all of February and Mars with a rib injury, but returned at the end of last month to end in 11th place in Houston Open. He also received last eight fall in Utah at the Black Desert Championship. During the last 24 rounds, it ranks 12th in this field for SG: Access and 12th to 450-500 yard par 4’s. He has been holding a hot flat as well, ranking 19th this season on SG tour: setting.
Matti Schmid (150-1)
Of course, this is a long shot, but I’m surprised that the price is high. Against the incorrect fields, Schmid ended the sixth last month in Puerto Rico and was ninth two weeks ago in Corales Puntacana-again, outside a favorite fist, this field is not all that studied with stars. He was as high as the third in TPC Summerlin and was fifth last fall in Black Desert. During the last 24 rounds, it is the 16th in this field for birds or better acquired, the 16th proximity to the 175-200 yards, 11th by 200+ yards, and is the 15th in SG: Bentgrass.
