This weekend at the “People’s Club” promises to give high drama, confrontation and, if Europe gets its way, the first Ryder Cup wins in 13 years. As is the case with any Ryder cup, it is also likely to include the unexpected. What it means is everyone’s opinion. Here’s mine.

“I don’t think it can be underestimated how difficult for a week it was Rome for us. I think we could have done better for sure. That wasn’t how I expected the week to go. I think we learned from it, and we are so prepared as before.”
I expect Scheffler to play well this week, or at least better than his 0-2-2 appearance in Rome. But while Scheffler is expected to hold Team USA, the team’s heart, Justin Thomas, will lead the road.

Thomas is 7-4-2 in his career Ryder Cup and is invincible in Sunday bachelors. After finding himself in the desert during the 2023 season, Thomas played as a Top-10 player for the past year.
