4 biggest mistakes that recreation players make in their compounds



Configuration is one of the most important bases In the kettle of golf. But despite its importance, most recreation players rarely work on it.

Think about it: When is the last time you went to the range and have you seen a weekend fighter grinding on their configuration basics? My assumption is that it is a rare occurrence in your local running range.

When you look at the good in the range, however, it is quite the opposite. Almost each of them works on their configuration bases whenever they practice – and this is no coincidence. Setting is the foundation for a strong rhythm of golf, and when it comes out of the blow, it can throw everything.

Recently, I spoke with Golftec Teaching Quality Director Josh Troyer on the subject, and he shared four of the biggest mistakes he sees recreational players to make in their composition. Check below.

4 main golf configuration errors do

1. Very open to address

One of the most common mistakes Troyer sees is the excessive opening in the body in placement – especially the shoulders and thighs.

“Recreational players tend to be significantly more open to the target than they should be,” he says. “While the pros can have their shoulders slightly open-around eight degrees-and their hips about four degrees open, many amateurs are open 20 to 30 degrees. This leads to a shaky direction that is too far away.”

Try taking your shoulders and more in line with the target. The chances are that you are very open.

2. Very weak grip

Another common issue Troyer sees is a poor control with the hand of the tracks far away at the top of the axis.

“When players take their control, their hands often rotate a lot towards the target, which puts them on top of the club. This is a really weak position,” he explains. “Typically it turns out that the club is open to influence.”

3. The legs are not glowing enough

If you want to hit the ball a long road, you should be able to maximize your rotation – and it starts with taking your legs in the right position. If your fingers are shown straight (or even inside), you will limit your ability to rotate.

“It makes it extremely difficult to rotate during backwardness and tracking,” Troyer says. “It also limits the movement on the ankle and knee, which makes it harder to relocate your priority.”

4. The very right axis

Another delicate but important detail in your configuration is how the club shaft is positioned to the address.

“Many players put the club’s glove straight down and down to the address, rather than bend it slightly to the target,” Troyer says. “It affects your low point and makes you more likely to hit behind the ball.”

The front axle in the configuration promotes fresh, first ball contact. It is a distinctive sign of elite ball attackers and something that every golf player should imitate.
