Final round split time
The Super Bowl may be the main course on Sunday, but the action at TPC Scottsdale should serve as a great appetizer. Before the big match, some of the PGA Tour’s best will duke it out in the desert in front of the loudest fans in golf as they look to win the WM Phoenix Open title.
Sitting atop the leaderboard is former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama, who sits at 13. He shot a third-round 68 to take a one-stroke lead into the final round. Matsuyama will be joined in the final group by Nicolai Hojgaard, who is seeking his first PGA Tour win, and Maverick McNealy. The trio will go into the final bracket at 12:57 PM ET.
Also tied with Hojgaard and McNealy at 12 are Si Woo Kim and Ryo Hisatsune, who will play in the penultimate group. Another shot back are Michael Thorbjornsen, Jake Knapp, Matt Fitzpatrick and Jake Knapp, while England’s John Parry rounds out the top 10 sitting 10 under through three rounds.
