In just two weeks, golf’s best players will gather in Augusta, Ga., for the first major of the year at Masters 2026. But before we get there, there are two Texas-based PGA Tour events to compete in.
The first, this week’s Texas Children’s Houston Open, is drawing a large field of competitors hoping to prepare for the Masters. This includes World No. 1 Scottie Schefflerwho enters as the betting favorite.
Scheffler hopes to capture his second PGA Tour win of the season this week as he continues to prepare for Augusta National.
Scheffler will be joined in the Houston Open field by other Tour stars Rickie Fowler AND Brooks Koepkaas well as members of the US Ryder Cup team Ben Griffin AND Sam Burns.
NBC and Golf Channel will provide television coverage of the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open, while PGA Tour live on ESPN+ will offer broadcast coverage and featured group coverage throughout the week. peacock will simulcast NBC’s Houston Open television coverage.
