The 2026 Players Championship, the PGA Tour’s premier event, will conclude this week at TPC Sawgrass, and Scottie Scheffler AND Rory McIlroy lead the betting favourites. Here’s everything you need to know about the Players Championship odds and other betting favorites to start the week.
Players Championship Betting Favorites
As The Players Championship week begins at TPC Sawgrass, the two most recent winners are at the top of the pre-tournament betting odds. They are also two of a handful of professionals to have won two players’ titles in their careers.
Those players, of course, are Scottie Scheffler AND Rory McIlroy.
World No. 1 Scheffler comes to Players as the heavy betting favorite with +350 odds to win. The 2023 and 2024 Players’ Champion won his first start in 2026, but he won His worst finish of the year, a T24, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week.
Mclroy, who is the defending Players champion, is second in the Players odds, coming into the week with +1,200 odds to win. Although he finished T2 at the Genesis Invitational, McIlroy withdrew from the Arnold Palmer Invitational after two rounds with a back injury.
Closing the top 5 in pre-tournament bets are odds PGA Tour STARS Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood AND Xander Schauffeleall with +2500 chance to win.
