Dubai Marathon LIVE is almost here!
The 25th anniversary of the Dubai Marathon is here! The race will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on February 1, 2026, starting at 5:45am local time (which means 8:45pm in New York, 7:45pm in Chicago and 5:45pm in San Francisco on January 31, 2026).
The broadcast is produced in Ahmar and English for Ethiopian National Television, Arabic for Arabic-speaking countries, English and Mandarin Chinese.
Pat Butcher, Tim Hutchings and Paula Radcliffe will provide English commentary for the men’s and women’s elite races on Sunday. Pat Butcher is a respected journalist who recently wrote: Quicksilver, the history of mercury Emil Zatopek, and monograph Alain Mimoun, who finished second to Emil Zatopek for most of his career until winning the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Marathon. Tim Hutchings is a well respected TV commentator as well as 4th place in the Olympic 5000 meters in LA 1984 and a great runner. Paula Radcliffe, The former women’s marathon world record holder is part of the commentary team, plus: Dubai Marathon.
