By his standards, Scottie Scheffler had a tough week at the WM Phoenix Open, a tournament he has won twice before. By anyone else’s standards, the world No. 1 had a great week.

Scheffler recovered from a poor opening round to finish T3 at TPC Scottsdale. But that was a step back from his first start in 2026, when he won American Express.

Now Scheffler is on the Monterrey Peninsula to try and accomplish something he’s never done: win a tournament at Pebble Beach. But he will face stiff competition at this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am PGA Tour’s The first signature event of the season.

Defending the champion Rory McIlroy is making his Tour 2026 debut on Thursday.
