When the second round ended on Friday evening, Ryo Hisatsune was still at the top of the leaderboard. But unlike Round 1, he now has some company.
Two-time PGA Tour winner Akshay Bhatia shot an impressive 64 on Friday at Spyglass Hill to move into a tie for the lead at 15 under. Rickie Fowler matches Bhatia’s result in Spyglass and will start in round 3, a shot against the leaders.
Keegan Bradley AND Jordan Spieth are among a related group of 10 under, while Rory McIlroy is one shot back at nine under. World number 1 Scottie Scheffler rallied from a slow start to record a six-under 66 at Spyglass Hill in Round 2, putting him in the mix for the weekend.
After playing Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill during the first two rounds, all players will compete at Pebble Beach for Saturday’s third round.
