A week ago, Andrew Novak lost RBC legacy in a play off to Justin Thomas. But now he is in New Orleans and has another blow to claim that PGA Tour wins.
Novak and Ben Griffin hold the 54-volume lead in the Zurich Classic At TPC Luiziana in Avondale, LA., And a victory would be the first on the tours for both in favor. This is the 100th beginning of Novak’s career in PGA Tour and the 90th Griffin.
After shooting 61 on four balls on Saturday, Novak and Griffin (27 under) hold a three -stroke lead to Jake KNAPP/Frankie Capan III and Ryo Hisatsune/Takum Kanaya.
“Three shots can go very soon,” Novak said. “You’re good to have it, but we’ll still have to play well.”
Two other teams are on 23 under, and five back on 22 under is the duo of Rory Mcilroy and Shane Lowrywho won Zurich in a play off last year.
“We want to compete against the best players and want to try ultimately and try to do it,” Griffin said. “It means a lot (win). Of course a tone in danger when you get to PGA Tour. We will be focused on each individual blow, just try and execute.”
