In this hot weather, remember to moisturize. 2-3 liters of water water, beware of carbonated beverages and caffeine (in moderation). Why recovery days?
In the summer of 1974 I discovered two days of training and two hours. I went to 18 miles a day for 4 miles a day, then settled 16 miles a day, seven days a week. I did it for 8 weeks and then I had my stool in the blood. He went to the doctor who carried out, and he offered ten miles a day around the chunky glance school and the track. I spent the next 4 weeks 8-10 miles a day, soft ground.
I have not found easy days unless I have read coach Delhi’s records in 1978. I kept it easy. I learned to stay away from fast guys on easy days, and slowly built my run in college, 55 miles a week away. My easy days were easy if the hard days were at 5.30-6 minutes pace, it was easy for 7-8 minutes miles, sometimes slowly.

My race improved because I took the same 25 race for ten years. PBS many times, but also fell into the ropes. Then I clicked a little while changing hills only throughout the year, running 4 days a week (walking on vacation) and then a week at 70-80 miles a week. That’s when I ran well 2 miles to the marathon. One-speed workout, one tempo or a hill day and two long days (16 on Wednesday on Sunday.
