Xander Schauffle agrees with thought. He has also read everything about his name.
“I think the writers,” he said, “Call horses for courses.”
Indeed we are a bunch of poems, for sure. But the idea is a basic – players play well in certain courses – and it will be the one you have to consider while trying to find a winner in this week’s PGA championship. While, at best, the tracks hold diplomas once in so many years, there are a small part, like Quail Hollow this week, which also organize PGA Tour events every year, giving players (and players) an experience in which to work.
So who responds to the mail in Quail? As you look to make your choices, here are the first 10 on the right track over the last 10 years, which includes 10 balls in PGA 2017:
(Note: The 2020 event was not played, and Quail Hollow received the Cup of Presidents of 2022.)

2025 PGA Championship Experts Choose to Win, Sleep To See
PGA Tour golfists are not the only ones who can do some
starting next Thursday. You can too! Here are some tips. https://t.co/uldlyrzvrh
– Nick Pastowski (@nickpia) June 52020
Adam Christensen
To win: Scottie Scheffler, +500. Anyone who wins the PGA championship will make a ton of birds, and Scottie Scheffler is hitting the ball so close to the hole is now impossible for him to make birds. His game was ‘out’ to start the year, but he understood it and is hitting the Hungry confident armchair. This is dangerous for the rest of the field (outside Mcilroy, of course).
Sleep Choosing: Russell Henley, +6,000. There are not many players on Earth who have played more constantly than Russell Henley this year. The main concern in choosing Henley is his lack of distance in a course that will favor the heavy hit, but he has been so accurate this year that he may overcome it. If he has a great week by placing and shredding, he could steal a championship.
Connor Federico
To win: Ludwig Aberg, +1,600. The Swedish star played again in quarrel again in Augusta National. His dress was hot and his driver was on fire. Although he does not have a professional history in Quail, the 25-year-old has a lot of talent to ignore. Justin Thomas was only 24 years old when he started in Stardom with his first big victory here in 2017.
Sleep Choosing: Max Homa, +8,000. In Quail Hollow, he won his first tournament in 2019 Wells Fargo, and he dominated the 2022 presidents’ Cup, ending with four wins and no losses in his US debut. The house is overcoming some last battles, but a T12 finish in Masters proves that he can fight for a big championship. I like his chances given all the success he had in Charlotte.

To win: Scottie Scheffler, +500. I’m really hoping for an epic Scheffler-Mcilroy duel on Sunday, but ultimately throwing my vote for world no. 1. Fresh from a big win in Texas and with a week of rest, Scottie will be the man who will beat in Quail Hollow, and I believe this will be the week where he gets his big mojo again.
Sleep Choosing: Max Homa, +8,000. The man had an obviously difficult season so far, but his bright place so far was the masters where he finished T12. This gives me some hope for his performance this week, in a course where he has played well in the past, winning the Wells Fargo championship in 2019 and completing the last two years. If a song can help extract Homa from the funk in which it is currently, it is this.

To win: Bryson Dechambeau, +1,050. Exiting a recent win in Liv Golf Korea, Dechambeau is my choice to win the PGA Championship. Quail Hollow is a course that rewards the tee length, and no one uses power as Bryson. The appearance attracts players to get aggressive lines – a challenge he welcomes – and pays dividends to those who succeed. If his cuffs are called, I think he has taken this in the bag.
Sleep Choosing: Jordan Spieth, +4,000. The latest flash, like his last round 62 in Byron Nelson, suggests that he is not far from a victory. Of course, Quail Hollow favors the long ball, but it also requires imagination and gravel, two things that spieth has in shovels. If the putter is heated, don’t be surprised if he goes low. And with the Grand Slam career only out of reach, it can be the impetus he needs to do it.
Kris McCormack
To win: Rory Mcllroy, +500. Rory has won four times in Quail Hollow. He also completed T22 when he hosted the PGA 2017 championship. This is one of his favorite tracks – tall, sought after and perfect for his aggressive driving.
Sleep Choosing: Joaquin Niemann, +2,700. Niemann has been one of the most globally -shaped players, securing his third Liv Golf win in April in Mexico City. Earlier during the season, he also achieved victories at Liv Golf Adelaide and Singapore, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure and maintain sustainability in various courses.

To win: Scottie Scheffler, +500. It is not the sexiest choice, but it is the most reasonable. After it was a little far away to start the year, Scottie found his old shape two weeks ago in Texas. If he can continue to hit the ball like him there, it will be Major no. 3 For Scottie to come Sunday evening.
Sleep Choosing: Keegan Bradley, +12,000. Why not a little magic in front of the Ryder Cup for the captain? The strange things have happened.

To win: Rory Mcilroy, +500. Boring, I know. But I chose this road in December, if that counts for nothing. If you want to go a little deeper, my sungjae (+6,600) is also a strong game in Quail.
Sleep Choosing: Stephan Jaeger, +20,000. Great course. Great Hitter. Jaeger finished 21 at the Wells Fargo last year, where he shot a 65 in the second round, so he went down in the past.
Seduce
To win: Bryson Dechambeau, +1,050. I had appointed Rory for this before he would win the masters, so I would zago a little. Bryson has played good but not excellent golf over the past month. He exploded heads to Miami, Augusta and Mexico before finally taking the line in Korea. This course should be well adapted, and it has been a diploma match over the past year. Easy to see the slightly less golf player making it this week. If you want to look a little down the table, I like Shane Lowry at +5,000.
Sleep Choosing: Rickie Fowler, +14,000. I chose Justin Rose while my masters were sleeping and this was paid. There were legal reasons for that selection. This time, I will just go out of vibration. Rickie has not played well since a T18 in The Cognizant in early March. But he ended the last time that the PGA championship was in Quail Hollow and has good history at the Wells Fargo Championship, including a win in 2012 and a fourth place in 2019. There is no time as the present to turn the clock.
Semester
To win: Scottie Scheffler, +500 if he plays so much, he claims. If he plays well, he wins. The latter seems more likely. This is one of those rare cases when chances are a fairly fair reflection of a boy’s current chances.
Sleep Choosing: Keegan Bradley, +12,000. A past PGA champion which clearly facilitates the big moments. A good opportunity for him to promote fraud for his possible role as a captain of Ryder Cup.
