Our program will be built on TEMPO on Tuesday, Fartlek, Thursday, Race Day or Debts on Saturday, Wednesday, Wednesday and Friday. If necessary, you can break around, as well as consider keeping an easy day during the week. Ask your coach before you add anything to your daily course.
Thursday, Heating, 60 minutes Fartek, 20 minutes stable condition, 10 x 1 minute, 1 minute vacation, 1x 5 minutes away, 10 minutes away.
In this hot weather, remember to moisturize. 2-3 liters of water water, beware of carbonated beverages and caffeine (in moderation). Do not take sports drinks with caffeine, jeans and things you have not discussed with your coach and family doctor. Those drinks can cause heart problems. They are not a joke.

You’ll get good. One of my favorite workouts, about once a month, was 200 yard repeats during my college career. I did them on baseball or both sides of baseball or both sides in a baseball field or football field. The idea is about 25-40 seconds hard, a few minutes to run and repeat. I did it up to 20 times but I would offer 6-8 for high school athletes.
Another trick, in all repetitions or intervals, increase the tempo in the last 1/3 of the distance. I did it all the season in a junior year in high school, and it really helped my hit. Perhaps it will help you.
