2025 ATP Awards Nominees Announced – Tennis Now


Nominees have been revealed today for the two player categories – Breakthrough of the Year and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award – as well as Coach of the Year at the 2025 ATP Awards.

Breakthrough of the Year nominees and Stefan Edberg Sports Awards are determined by a vote of the International Tennis Writers Association (ITWA). Coach of the Year nominees are selected through first-round voting by ATP coaching members.

For the first time, members of Club No. 1 ATP exclusive – the 29 current and former players who have reached world No. 1 – will decide the Breakthrough of the Year winners and Stefan Edberg Sports Award. The Coach of the Year winner is selected by the other members of the ATP coaches.

The winners of the ATP Awards, including the fan favorite, will be revealed during Awards week, starting December 8. Fans can vote for their favorite singles and doubles team until Friday, November 21.

Below are the nominees for each category:

Discovery of the Year
Breakthrough of the Year goes to the player who made the most progress on the ATP Tour this season, taking into account historic victories, significant jumps in the PIF ATP rankings and first ATP Tour titles. While there are no age restrictions, the award is aimed at Next Gen and young players.

Stefan Edberg Sports Award
of Stefan Edberg The Sportsmanship Award goes to the player who, throughout the year, conducted himself at the highest level of professionalism and integrity, who competed with his fellow players in the utmost spirit of fairness and who promoted the game through his off-field activities.

Coach of the Year
The Coach of the Year award goes to the coach who helped their player to a higher level of performance during the year.
