Separate training time for round 1
On Friday, the stars of the LPGA and PGA Tours will join forces for the unique Grant Thornton team event that debuted last year. Each of the 16 competing teams features an LPGA and a PGA Tour professional who will compete together for a chance to share the $1 million winner’s prize.
For the second year in a row, Lexi Thompson and Rickie Fowler they are joining. To capture the title, the star-studded duo will have to find a way to defeat another returning team, the defending champions. Lydia Ko and Jason Day.
Friday’s round features a traditional scrimmage format, and Team Thompson-Fowler will play in the penultimate pairing at 10:30 a.m. ET along with the team of Allisen Corpuz and Sahith Theegala.
