2024 Fall Cross Country Training and Racing Schedule October 30, 2024 Week 7 Day 3 Wednesday is an easy day.


The 2024 Cross Country season is here!

Easy days are important for your development.

Most of the 560,000 high school boys and girls competed in cross country at the 2024 High School Cross County Championships held this past weekend.

Wednesday is recovery day.

Recovery runs are important for your body to recover from tough days.

Cross Country is the real key to developing as a distance runner.

Monday, Week 7, Day 3, October 30, 2024

good warm up

45-65 minutes of moderate running, 6 x 150 meter runs,

cool well

Check your shoes and make sure your training shoes

are ready for another 10-14 weeks of training. (Most boots make up a 12-16 week workout)

If not, go to a local running store and find a pair or two of good training shoes.

    Larry Eder has been involved in athletics for 52 years. Larry has experienced sports as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now a journalist and blogger. His first article, on Don Bowden, America’s first 4-minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from USA Track and Field to the American version of Spikes magazine.
