2024 Fall Cross Country Training and Racing Schedule October 16, 2024 Week 5 Day 3 Wednesday is an easy day.

The 2024 Cross Country season is here!

It’s time to race!

560,000 high school boys and girls are running cross country this fall.

Six weeks into the season (eight weeks for some), racing is well underway.

How are you doing?

A tip on completing a cross-country race.

As I trained more, I focused on finishing strong in the last 800 meters, picking up speed every 200 meters.

It’s something you can practice.

My suggestion? 4-6 times 800m where you pick up the pace every half lap or 200m.

good warm up

50-65 minutes of moderate running, 6 x 150 meter runs,

Cool down well and remember to hydrate.

Check your shoes and make sure your training shoes

are ready for another 12-18 weeks of training.

If not, go to a local running store and find a pair or two of good training shoes.

We will talk about that soon.
