2024 Fall Cross Country Training and Racing Schedule November 27, 2024 Saturday 11 Day 3 Wednesday is an easy day.

The 2024 Cross Country season is here!

You are now in a difficult part of the season. Everyone is fit; the difference is racing fitness.

Let me explain.

Those who can make one right move after another and have something at the end of the race, those athletes

will be successful.

Most of the country has had state meetings (California is the latest, on November 30).

runners prepare for the NIKE NXN and 45th FootLocker Presented by HOKA Cross Country Championships.

We take some ideas from the great Australian trainer Pat Clohessy, who trained Rob De Castella and Steve Moneghetti.

Cross Country is the real key to developing as a distance runner.

Most high schoolers competing at NXN and FootLocker still have six weeks of training and racing ahead of them.

Wednesday is an easy day.

Are you fit?

You’ll keep it moderate and have a few weeks before the big things.

Week 11, Day 3, Tuesday, November 27, 2024

good warm up

45-65 minutes of easy running, 6×150 meters of walking,

cool well

Check your shoes and make sure your training shoes

ready for another 8-9 weeks of training (most shoes make up 12 weeks of training)

If not, go to a local running store and find a pair or two of good training shoes.

We will talk about that soon.
