Galen Rupp is a 4-time Olympian (2008-10,000m, 2012-10,000m Olympic silver, 2016-marathon-Olympic bronze, 2021-marathon) who has had a long running career. We first saw Galen as a high school sophomore in the AAU Junior Olympian 5,000m. The following fall, I watched Galen compete in the Nike Border Clash, placing third. In 2003, Galen Rupp returned and won the Nike Border Clash. In his senior year, Galen won his first NCAA title in cross country, beating Sam Chelanga.

Galen Rupp always credits his experience in cross country as it helped build him up for the road, track and marathon. Galen Rupp loves cross country.
