Schofield is #2 WBA and #11 IBF at lightweight. He missed a title shot against WBC champion Shakur Stevenson on February 22 at the Riyadh season map after coming down with a sudden illness.
Shakur’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, excavated the electrician Josh Padley as a substitute. It was a very criticized move by Hearn to use Padley, but it indicated what Shakur’s career was about.
