Jon Rahm breaks down his Fairway Finder machine.
Golf
Being able to find the short grass consistently is a skill that comes available when you are playing a narrow layout, navigating trees-coated roads or on a course with a second fluid-as the conditions that players are against this week at 2025 US Open Women THEir Erin Hills.
It is the type of accuracy that takes place over time, through a test, error and experience tones. Fortunately you can steal a little of this knowledge from someone who has many of the two: the great champion twice Jon Rahm.
Widely regarded as one of the best drivers in the game, Rahm shared his keys to a Fairway-Finder car-and is simpler than you would think.
In the clip above, Rahm explains that only a few delicate tears-and an action that changes the game-to narrow its distribution from tee. Follow together to use the Rahm configuration strategy to reign on your shooting and find the fairway more often this season.
Tee is low but hit
Instead of changing its entire oscillation, Jon Rahm prefers to rely on some simple placement adjustments, with the height of tee one of them.
“So it’s going to be a slightly lower tee, but I think the key here is that I’m not trying to hit it,” says Rahm, “I’m still trying to hit.”
Filling the ball down, a quarter and a half inch lower than his normal driver height, Rahm explains that he is able to tighten his shot without compromising his natural oscillation.
“Second I try to hit the ball, this is where the distribution gets bigger,” says Rahm, “with handle hand and the way I swing, if I’m hitting the ball, keeping my face more square.”
By tee your ball slightly down as wearing a neutral or slightly sticky attack angle encourages you to hit it a little lower on your face. Which often reduces rotation and limits exaggerated curvature from the face – resulting in a controlled, ball penetrating flight.
The main movement of Rahm
When it comes to checking his drives, Rahm says he relies on a simple but powerful suggestion.
“I do one main thing. I will choose a place right here, where I want the ball to finish. Maybe a foot in front of the ball, and lined up with it,” says Rahm, “then I go to the left.”
Why is Rahm lined up from his target target? By placing his legs slightly open on the target line, Rahm explains that he creates enough space to clean his body as quickly as possible through the impact – while also hitting the ball. Allowing him to make an aggressive pace without sacrificing control.
