Augusta, GA – CBS Golf is a master tradition itself, but as the network reads for the 70th year of Sunday’s Teleks in Augusta National, a considerable change is intercepted in the wings.

Former golf player and a long time CBS Frank Nobloo transmitter It will enter the cabin in the 16th hole in Augusta National-only the third transmitter that complements the position in PAR-3 in the last 40 years.

Last week, CBS David Berson Sports Chairman announced that Nobloo would fill in the open gap from Pension of legendary broadcaster Verne Lundquist.

“We are excited that Frank Nobloo will be in the tower in 16 this year,” Berson said in a press call in front of the masters. “This will be Frank’s 11th masters as an integral part of our team, and you can wait for its typical excellent penetration and analysis now even in the famous 16th hole.”

Nobloo has been a major figure for transmitting CBS over the past few years, climbing a critical role in the cabin along with the lead Play-by-Play man Jim Nantz and analyst Trevor Immelman. Now, to the masters, he is taking on the tasks in the famous 16th hole, which has been the place of many masters with Sunday memory over the past decades – by Nantz’s “The bear has come out of hibernation ” In ’86 for the Lundquist pair of “Oh… my kindness… ” Calls at Tiger Woods’ Masters Win in ’05 and ’19.

“Yes, there is no one more experienced with both, not only in Golf as a broadcaster, but also as a former player,” said CBS Sports Sellers Shy manufacturer. “He is in the Hall of Fame of New Zealand. He was there in 1995 or ’96, he ended the fourth, and he has a tremendous balance, and he has gained the right to be in that hole, and now has a really beautiful, beautiful balance with which I think everyone will be very happy.”

The Par-3 16 is going through a change of its own to this masters on Sunday, shifting the PIN position away from the traditional “Gypi” pin on the bottom of Lefthanda towards a position at the top right of green green that was last used for Jack Nicklaus’s victory in 1975.

Nobilo will be responsible for calling for action from that new country. He will also serve as a so-called “tower announcement” over the 11th hole, though he will sacrifice his position in par-3 12.

“The rest of our team is intact, so there are not many changes, but there will be any movement of things,” Berson said. “Frank will still be doing 11 and you will hear Mr. Nantz and Mr. Immelman in 12.”

It was difficult to pull the noblets from the 12th tower, Berson said, but it was a natural fit in the cabin at 16.

“Frank is an extraordinary analyst, a large part of our team. He deserves this opportunity,” Berson said. “Frank has made Amen Corner for a long time. I am excited that he must be a much more integral part of the last part of our coverage now. He deserves it. We are excited for him.”
